Philips Exceeds Sustainability Targets and Reports 1/3 of Revenue from Green Products

The next time you are trying to decide between two similar products, and one of them has “Philips” on it, choose Philips. The company just announced today that they smashed through their sustainability targets last year and generated almost a third of its revenue from green products in 2009, the year of the bad economy when no one was supposed to be paying attention to the environment.

It is also on target to spend $1 Billion on research and development into developing new, green technologies by the end of this year. Support their efforts with a toaster or something; GE sure isn’t making this kind of push.
