This weekend United celebrated with its first paying passenger flight of the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner. The Dreamliner is the game changing aircraft for most airlines.
The plane utilizes lighter materials such as carbon fiber, while having new fuel-efficient engines that burn 20% less fuel. This is paired with a larger cabin, better humidity and push to tint windows. The 787 is the plane of the future, both in efficiency and passenger comfort.
With all the delays and struggles Boeing went through with this plane, I’m glad that they were finally able to get it in the air. United also needed this flight to go smoothly, with a year of delays and losses, the Dreamliner may be exactly what United needed to thrive as the worlds largest airline.
