About Mark Malmut:

Photography and fine art has always been a passion for Mr. Malmut. Sometime in the late 90’s he realized that he needed a challenge and turned to wildlife and nature photography. He has traveled extensively, and over the past seven years has sought the excitement and adventures of photographing wildlife in various jungles and forests across the world. He leads jungle expeditions in Costa Rica with his company, Jungleosity Jungle Expeditions, as well as customized trips for clients wishing to obtain a personalized, wildlife viewing adventure in many other countries.

Mr. Malmut believes that creating art from a photograph starts from the second you line up a shot in the viewfinder. His philosophy has always been “if it doesn’t look good in the viewfinder, it won’t translate into a great photograph, no matter how good your editing skills”. Just like in fine art, great photography starts with great composition. Whereas a great subject is always a good start, it doesn’t guarantee a great photograph. Lining up shots from odd angles and unusual vantage points, along with focusing on the soul of the subject, has become Mr. Malmut’s calling card.

Recently back from amazing photo shoots in Ecuador’s Galapagos Islands and the Andes Mountains, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Costa Rica and the Florida Everglades, Mr. Malmut is eager to share his work with the public. Some of his work is available on his website, Naturosity Wildlife & Nature Photography at Naturosity.com.
